While the art style's not as accurate, I did admire the animation here.

This was the sweetest thing that I have ever watched. At least anything that has to do with My Little Pony. The music was very fitting. But seeing that it's from Pixar, this makes this much more emotional. I mean the Toy Story series and Up are great examples of music with emotion.

The voice wasn't all that convincing, but it wasn't annoying at least. She did have the correct tone and emotion, too. Nice job overall.

Piggybank12 responds:

I did originally intend to try and mimic the art style of the show, but in an effort to deal with time constraints and put a more unique spin on things to help give it a more personalized look, I just went and animated it by hand.

The song from Toy Story 2 (When She Loved Me) has only the very beginning of it played, at the end of the second scene when the music starts and the screen fades to white for the first time. After that, it's all a completely different unedited song, the one called "Danny's Theme." And yes, Pixar and Disney played some sort of influence with figuring out how to construct the story to have the emotional impact it has.

I wasn't sure who to go to for doing Twilight's (the pony) voice, and held auditions for the role. Three people sent in entries, and this was by far the best entry I got. The reason why is exactly the same thing you said: she had the correct tone and emotion for the scene, which all the other entries lacked. I too would have liked a more dead-on voice for the role, but since she came pretty close to her voice and nailed the emotional part of it (which was probably more important here in the long run anyway), I chose her for the role.

Thank you for taking the time to make a review here, it means the world to me!

Wasn't Expecting a stick cartoon.

To be honest, I was actually surprised by this.

While I agree that the voice acting and and audio need improvement, especially the audio, I didn't mind the other things.

The animation wasn't half bad and for stick drawings, too. I did like some of the voices, mainly the kid and the narrator as well as the nerd. They were the ones that stuck out the most to me.

As for the writing, while it wasn't all that good, it did have to potential to make me laugh a bit. I mean the writing and the situation kinda made me feel like I was back in the 90s and watching some show on NIckelodeon. (By that I mean stuff like Kablam, Angry Beavers, old Spongebob). You made that feeling a bit more with the Narrator sounding almost like Plankton from Spongebob and you even used Spongebob music here aswell.

Keep on Writing, dude. I might like to work with you one day once I master animation and drawing altogether.

StaticBunny responds:

I'm aware that it's poorly written; that's what makes it funny. The narrator is well aware that the story is awful and tries to fix it up.

And thanks dude.

Different

Atleast from what I'm used to seeing here.

Now I do appreciate your animation in the falling and such. The tweened animation kinda killed the mood for me. I don't know why.

But the art was pretty good, though. For some odd reason, I have a feeling your inspired by Sexual-Lobster's work because of the shading and such.

I did enjoy the music as it really had a powerful feeling and the fact you used something not anime-ish or Linkin Park (despite how much I like the two) really impressed me.

I am also shocked at the message you tried to convey here. But it did give some good points at the end.

Nice work, keep it up. :)

nahtanojmal responds:

I was more inspired by redminus' style, but I could have subconsciously done things similar to Chris. Hey it is kind of similar isn't it :S :)
Well we are both Australian and did kind of attend the same uni at the same time......

I like them too :D

and Thanks for the review

I'm Sorry..

...but I honestly don't see the appeal in this.

Now I have no idea about Arkham City (one of the games that I have yet to play). But I honestly think that this could have been better.

The humor felt more forced or something. I mean, it was too random for my taste. Now I don't mind some random humor, but it does usually feel out of place. Sure, making a joke about the game itself is cliche unless cleverly written. But either way, some of the facial expressions and actions could have been done without.

I also felt the animation was sub-par or was rushed a bit. It looks as if you either didn't use enough frames or the actions went too fast.

The voice acting was terrible. The clown just sounded annoying and that Batman impression just sounded horrible.

Overall, I just couldn't find anything hilarious about this but only one or two things. But even those I just giggled a tiny bit. Try going a little less random next time.

IaMI2002 responds:

Weird. This was probably the most specific I could get about a in game story flaw. Perhaps when you play the game and experience the moronic act of interrogating a suspect you'll get the joke.

I don't feel we rushed the animation, but there something to be said for you comment. This was our first collaboration and we really wanted to put the joke out there and see how it was received. We didn't think it would be that big of an issue because we most certainly didn't expect this many views.

As for the voice acting. Ouch bro. The clown is supposed to be an annoying twat, but I did my best with the batman voice. It's hard to do anything with the typical "Christian Bale is Angry Batman" voice.

But you are right on a lot of points, we appreciate the feedback and are working on all of these complaints for our next video. Thanks for taking the time to respond and type out your points instead of giving us a bad score and saying "it was bad." Constructive criticism helps greatly!

I also saw you were a voice actor, maybe you could give us an example of a good batman ;)

Wow

This was just fucked up, man.

I liked the fighting animation and the shading, too.

The voice acting was great and I liked the fucked up humor here.

But the drawings and some aspects of the animation sorta killed it for me. I just hope you improve for the next submission.

rambojoe responds:

Yeah, the next submission is going to be a hell of a lot better! Been working on it for a while and I hope to see you there when it's submitted, with your review of it.
Thanks for the review!

Could be better

Now I noticed that you've used audio files from VG Cats Adaptation with No Name in the later movies and I'm fine with that. However, there are problems with this one. The animation. Most of the animation relies mainly on tweens and traced pictures of the panels from VG cats. However, I do admire your ability to animate the action from one panel to another, but it looks a little lazy. The voice acting here seems a bit off with some characters. I also noticed that some actors have mics that make static-like noise which gets annoying. The emoting wasn't as good either. I do notice a bit of an improvements in later parts, but I honestly think that animation could be upped a bit.

Also, congrats on getting Scott Ramsoomair's praise.

MikeandTreyVideo responds:

Actually, I think this is my first attempt to make a flash without using tweens (aside from a few shape tweens :D). I found it a lot easier to just use Omahdons stuff and send him a copy of the finished project to upload to his account.

Disturbing and hilarious

Man, you just took the youtube comment and just made it awesome. I love the dark atmosphere and the reaction he has to his boner was hilarious.

Also, nice spoof on the constant duck and cat videos on youtube.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

its like its his first boner

Best Pokeparody ever!!

I swear this is one of my favorite films. I like the voice acting. Fatkidwithajetpack and SonicMega did great job with the voices.

I like your animations with the sprites and the jokes were pretty good.

Sure some were based off memes, but I guess I was able to tolerate them as they weren't as bad as how Rinachan's handles them. Nice job overall.

OrangePylon responds:

At first I didn't think Rinachan wrote, but only voice acted. But I HAPPENED to be listening to her We R PokéStaRs parody on YouTube right as I was checking this, and in the description it does say that she wrote the song. Well damn, talk about your coincidences.

But I've never seen her overuse memes or anything and so I have no opinion.

Sorry I'm still blown away by that coincidence. I mean I don't listen to that song often, but it was stuck in my head, and while it played I came to check this to find a reviewer mentioning Rinachan and... oh boy. Why can't I be this lucky when it actually matters?

I'm a guy who's been a big fan of Newgrounds since the mid-2000s and is happy to share his art with this community and meet new people.
